This decade is turning out to be average affair for king of romance Shah Rukh Khan. His films in this decade has not been able to keep up with his standard of stardom. Considered to be one of the strongest Khan from Khan Trio (Srk, Salman, Aamir), at domestic market, it has not been able to keep with huge output which is expected from a superstar of this calibre.
Shah rukh has manage to give a All Time Opener in this decade in the form of Happy New Year, here is the list of rest opening & their impact:
1. Bumper - Chennai Express
2. Excellent - Ra.One
3. Good/Avrage - Dilwale, Raees
4. Decent - Don 2, Fan, Dear Zindagi
5. Below Average/Poor - Jab Harry Met Sejal, JTHJ
Some of the openings response low turnout could be the result of clashes - JTHJ vs SOS, Dilwale vs Bajirao Mastani, Raees vs Kaabil, but keeping in mind that here we are talking about SRK, it should have that impact, which wasn't there. There could be one more reason as Srk films have not been able to do Record Breaking lifetime business, which further decrease the next release film's excitement. One can now hope that future Shah Rukh projects will overcome all the negatives & once again we will see magic of king khan on big screen:
